121. Jesus is the reason

1. There is something planted deep down in my soul,

   I have something settled now I have control,

   For there's a reason and at Calvary,

   Jesus is the Reason; He gave all for me.

   Jesus is the Reason why I sing this song;

   In my heart He's living, nothing can go wrong.

   He put His arm around me and drew me to His side,

   Jesus is the Reason; now I'm satisfied.

2. Now I'm never lonely; I will tell you why;

   I'm laying up my treasures in my home on high,

   When you see me sleeping don't you dare cry,

   Jesus is the Reason why I'll never die.

   Jesus is the Reason why I have no fear

   When I cross the Jordan; He'll be standing near.

   Satan lost the battle when I knelt to pray;

   Jesus is the Reason I got saved that day.

3. Jesus is the Reason why I'm never blue;

   I am in His army, there is work to do.

   I thank Him every morning and praise Him every night.

   And it takes some praying to stay in the light.

   Jesus is the Reason I won't turn around;

   I can feel His presence, and I'm heaven-bound,

   If you are not ready, take some time to pray;

   Jesus is the Reason I'll go home some day.
